At the completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Identify neurocognitive and environmental factors that shape and influence regulation development.
- Build a shared language for emotions and enhance self-awareness strategies utilizing The Zones of Regulation framework and Zones Digital Curriculum components.
- Integrate a structured approach to emotion check-ins to foster interoceptive awareness, enhance communication strategies, and identify situational influences that shape feelings.
- Customize regulation tools and resources to create effective individualized toolboxes and regulation stations tailored to learners’ needs.
- Apply metacognitive strategies, i.e. The Zones Pathway and Stop, Opt & Go sequences, to strengthen executive functions including impulse control, decision-making, and regulation in real time.
